I was Born and raised in the city of Toronto in Canada, the Artist I am became known as "CBJ" (Chef Boy Jr.) was not just an inheritance but an ironic symbol. I am currently described as an indie-pop/hip hop artist in the city which I live. Tamal “CBJ” Benjamin-Johnson, enthroned and revered as "The Young Chef of Hip-Hop," has been one of the genre’s most charismatic, fresh and real young artist in Toronto. Full of energy CBJ is also known to be a thoughtful young man on a mission to build with his community, create opportunities and provide for his loved ones. One of my first material - The Come Up Volume 1 "Frustration” - details my past life, way of thinking and risks once taken as I grew. I know my message will resonate to those who listens, it will help to motivate those who are going through similar ordeals like I did, as we all RISE together as LEGENDS in our own endeavours.
